Bassforms Announces "Does Your Box Rock Competition"

Do you work in the car audio industry and possess superior 'glassin' skills? Bassforms is holding a box design contest to find the hottest looking and loudest vehicle-specific fiberglass enclosure. The "Does Your Box Rock" contest offers $3500 in cash prizes (or gear from your shop, details after the jump) and the contest will be judged at the 22nd Annual Spring Break Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL.

"Loudest Box" Competition Designed to Allow 12 Volt Installers and Fabricators to Show Off Their Creative Side to Their Industry Peers

Newport Beach, CA - February, 2008 - Bassforms, the industry leader in vehicle specific custom subwoofer enclosures will sponsor a competition for autosound installers and fabricators. The challenge is to design the loudest vehicle specific fiberglass subwoofer enclosure and the cash prizes are in excess of $3500. Winners will be announced at the 22nd Annual Spring Break Nationals in Daytona Beach.

The Bassforms sponsored contest "Does Your Box Rock" will have contestants design and fabricate a fiberglass enclosure that will be judged for superior cosmetic design and SPL output. The top three winners will have a choice of the cash prize or a greater value of the winners' enclosures for their own shops stockroom; saleable inventory!

The choice of vehicles that contestants will be building fiberglass enclosures for are as follows:

********All boxes submitted to Bassforms Becomes Bassforms Property**********

All Fiberglass Boxes Must Be Designed and Perform to the Following Bassforms Parameters:

  • Drop in, plug-and-play without any modifications to the vehicle whatsoever.
  • Boxes may be sealed or ported.
  • Digital images of all box entries must be submitted via email to: annie@bassforms.com
  • A minimum 8 digital images must be submitted;

    • Outside The Vehicle
    • Top View
    • Front View
    • Back View
    • Side View
    • Rear View
    • Bottom View
  • Deadline for submissions is 5:00PM PST March 15, 2007
  • The top 20 boxes will have to be shipped by contestant at Bassforms expense to:

  • Winners will be announced March 30 before the Bikini Contest at Spring Break Nationals
  • Contestants will be asked to review and sign a consent outlining contest's property ownership parameters prior to providing images to Bassforms

The "Does Your Box Rock" Competition will be Judged by the Most Respected Professionals of Mobile Electronics.

  • 2nd place- $1,000
  • 3rd Place - $500
