Time Machine: Alpine's Lambo Countach LP400S
If you've been in the industry long enough, then you'll definitely remember this one. Back in day almost all Alpine advertisements featured a Lamborghini Countach. I was surfing the interweb for some nice old school audio equipment when I came across a few sites that featured some photos and information on the original Alpine demo cars. This advertising campaign came around during the "boom years" of car audio when many of the top brands from today were pretty much just getting started - Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, MTX, Kicker, Boston Acoustics, Zapco....
Unfortunately I can' find many interior or install shots, so if you have some contact me in the SoundDomain forums! If you can hook it up, I'll send you a CarDomain gift pack!
Check out the photos and details of this fine Italian machine after the jump and prepare to wax nostalgia!
Car:
1981 LAMBORGHINI Countach LP400S
Chassis #1121220
Engine #1121220
The Lambo sported all of Alpine's most cutting edge hardware. Amps filled the Lambo's cramped boot, an Alpine security system protected the inside and out, and of course a full Alpine audio system in the cockpit, including Alpine's cell phone system (remember that one??).
