One of a Kind Custom '83 Regal

HzEmall Customs, located just north of the Washington state border in Surrey, Canada, builds some of the most impressive custom cars I've ever laid eyes on. These automotive artists can create anything from the extreme to the ultra-clean, and their shop demo car is a perfect example.

This '83 Buick Regal has been a long-term project for HzEmall over the years, and has received quite few custom touches. The hood, trunk lid, and added spoiler were replaced with donor parts from Grand National, and then the car and many of the factory chrome bits were treated to a fresh paint job. The Regal was dropped down on Belltech bits and fitted with some 16×8 Center Line Style 89 wheels. The final product is pretty breathtaking, but wait until you see pics of the completely custom interior and audio install over at HzEmall's website.

Ultra Subs/Arc Audio Knight Industries 2000

SoundDomain Mod Brian Murphy has been helping spread the word about Ultra Subs and got the scoop on Ultra's next demo car: an original Knight Industries Two Thousands,  K.I.T.T., built by legendary super hot rod builder, George Barris. However, this is not your "average" K.I.T.T.. No, this is the Super Pursuit Braking Mode version of the Hollywood super car. According to Ultra's CarDomain ride page:

"It was the model used for the "braking mode" before it went back to "normal" from Super Pursuit Mode. There were only four of these models made, three have been  destroyed and that makes this car the last of it's kind. It was last used in the movie Benchwarmers and soon will be a showcar for Arc Audio and Ultrasubs."

New Arc Audio KS Mini Packs Big Amp Power!

After walking the floors of CES we pretty much determined that thin and small were going to be the next big focus in our industry. Everybody seems to be competing to develop the thinnest speakers and subs, and smallest, low-profile amplifiers. Well, if there were a contest for the smallest amp, then Arc Audio has just taken the grand prize trophy.

Behold the new Arc Audio KS125.2 Mini amplifier. Small vehicles are starting to become more popular these days, and that also means that the space in which to fit aftermarket audio equipment is therefore getting smaller. So Arc decided to develop an amplifier that would meet the needs of today's decreasing interior real estate, but they didn't want to sacrifice sound quality, build quality, or aesthetics. According to Arc, the new KS Mini uses Class G Multi Rail switching technology allowing the amp to effortlessly produce its rated power while maintaining 80% efficiency. This means that almost all of the energy produced by the KS Mini is converted to actual power and very little is lost to heat. According to Arc:

"Following the success of the designs used in Arc Audio’s SE and KS Series amplifiers, engineer Robert Zeff incorporated Noise reducing M.I.N.E.R. board design technology into each of the KS Mini Amplifier’s. As a result, KS Mini Amplifier’s obtained the goal of a small package but with the sound, performance, and quality of a high performance amplifier."

Spotted at CES: Mr Hotrod, Chip Foose

Arc Audio teamed up with legendary fabricator Chip Foose not too long ago to design a new line of amplifiers, and the guys from Arc had him come out to CES to sign autographs for fans. If you get a chance to meet him, say hi. He's a pretty nice guy!
