Kenwood Takes Daytona 500

Well this isn't ground-breaking news since CarDomain announced the race results about two weeks ago, but I figured I'd post this since I didn't know Kenwood was a NASCAR sponsor. Ryan Newman took fist place at the Daytona 500 this past February, beating out Tony Stewart for the first place finish. Kenwood supplied the pit crew with a slew of it's radio communication gear for the driver, pit crew, spotters and crew chief.

Cobra Brings Bluetooth to the CB Market

I should have seen this coming, but I didn't. With all the integration of emerging technologies, I hadn't considered much when it came to merging new tech with old tech, at least not old tech like a CB radio! Cobra just announced the addition of this little gem to their CB radio mix. Introducing the 29 LTD BT, a mobile radio with built-in Bluetooth for handsfree mobile phone operation.

The unit includes a noise-canceling microphone, 5-watt speaker, and boasts 4 Watts AM RF power output. The 29 LTD BT also features tactile controls, making it easy for the operators to know the position of each knob without having to take their eyes off the road. A built-in Bluetooth button on the handheld CB mic for accepting and hanging up phone calls. The 29 LTD BT will have an MSRP of $189.99 and will be available as early as this spring.
