I was just surfing through the SoundDomain Show-Off forum and I came across Eric Champagne's 1999 Chevy Cavalier post. He has quite a mod list in the forum, and pics are available on his CarDomain page. It's definitely worth taking a look! One thing that grabbed my attention: his car is one of the first I've seen to use the Kenwood KOS-V1000 multimedia system. If you're not familiar, the V1000 is basically an 8-Series Kenwood screen system in separate components with no actual in-dash module, everything is designed to be component add-ons. It's actually designed for cars with integrated radio systems that aren't easily upgradeable, but in his case it let him add a large touchscreen upfront that controls his entire system.

If you're looking to add a custom touch to your car audio install, make sure to check out Bassforms vehicle-specific custom fiberglass enclosures. They have a pretty decent selection available for a wide range of makes and models, along with a few universal options as well. The boxes come pre-gel-coated, but can be re-painted if you want to match your exterior color or some interior theme. We used Bassform's right and left corner box for our 2006 SEMA Scion tC. The fit was pretty spot on, and they sounded incredible.
And now Chevy Cobalt owners can re-joice as Bassforms has just announced a new dual-12" box available for 2005 and up Cobalts. The box offers a 1.3 cu. ft. of air space, perfect for many of today's smaller-enclosure requirements, and is only 8-inches deep. Oh yeah, and these pics show the box color-matched to the example Cobalt, but the boxes actually ship painted a glossy metallic black.
Follow the jump for more details and a few more pics!

Steve thought it would be a good idea to have his electrical system checked out, so he stopped by his local Autozone to have a load test performed on the alternators:
"I was at Autozone when I had this idea...I should get this guy to
"diagnose" my "alternator" and see if its working good. He drug his
machine out to test "it" for me.... He couldn't put a load on it big
enough to change anything and called out his manager. It took a few
minutes for him to realize what was happening and how many alts were in
the car. Needless to say my "alt" passed :) Irragi Alts FTW!"
Check out the video after the jump!
