Quart keeps the good news coming! I've been a long-time Quart fan and have had many different pairs of the Premium series in my cars (The install I'm working on right now is going to use the Premium QSD series). And now the next generation of Quart Premium Series has been announced: the PVI. The Premium series uses the titanium WideSphere inverted tweeter, which offers incredible linear and broad frequency response, as well as great on- and off-axis response. Follow the link for a few more product shots and press release.
OH yeah.... we also have the 2008 MB Quart product catalog available for download. The new gear and catalog isn't even on their website yet, but after a little hardcore Google-action, I found it. Follow the jump for all the MB Quart goodness!

If you've been dying to upgrade the speakers in your ride this summer, but don't want to break the bank, take a look at Kicker's new KS series of coax speakers. Curvilinear woofer cones, Santoprene surrounds, new baskets, and Kaladex tweets promise to deliver smooth sound with rich highs and meaty midbass.
We've got a small gallery and press release after the jump.

MB Quart has long been one of the premier names in car audio, known for producing some of the best sounding speakers available. For 2008, you can expect an almost entirely redesigned line, and first to be announced is the new mid-level Discus series. One of the most notable changes is the upgrade to Quart's new WideSphere tweeter, which last year was only available in the Premium series and Q-Line. The WideSphere tweeter allows a much broader dispersion and better off-axis listening response over typical convex tweeter designs (it also looks pretty sexy!). Quart also engineered the midbass drivers with glass-fiber/ABS blend baskets to reduce resonance and improve midbass response.
I've had MB Quart speakers in almost every single one of my cars at one time or another, so I'm really looking forward to seeing the rest of the line as Quart releases the details. More to come!
For now, follow the jump to get details, pricing, and small gallery of pics!

I just got the scoop from Infinity on the new Kappa speakers. Cosmetically these look a lot nicer than last year's models. I also noticed Infinity has gone back to 4-ohm voice coils this year (Kappas were all 2-ohm last year). They've upgraded the tweeter to an edge-driven UHF tweeter that plays all the way to 35KHz on some speakers. I was pretty impressed with the previous generation of Kappa speakers, so I'm looking forward to hearing these in person. There aren't many other brands that can touch the clarity of Kappa speakers at this price point ($119.95 - $249.95). We've got a TON of pics after the jump, as well as a full press release with details on all the speakers.
**Correction** Kappas are still 2-ohm. Infinity uses "marketing speak" and states the speakers are "True Four-Ohm" when the drivers are actually two ohm. I think this has to do with the the measured resistance of the wire by the time it reaches the radio (i.e. it measures four ohm at the radio when connected to a two ohm speaker due to the natural resistance of the speaker wire). But I could be wrong. I'm waiting for an explanation from Infinity.
**Update** Infinity has updated their site to better explain the marketing lingo.
