New Scosche Dash Kit: 2008-Up Mitsubishi Galant

Scosche just released details on their newest dash kit, the MI3018B, for the 2008 and up Mitsubishi Galant. The kit will accommodate an ISO DIN mount and includes a pocket, or remove the pocket and the kit will accept a double-DIN radio. Scosche took this kit an extra step and also included a pair of metal mounting brackets and the pocket to ensure best fit and finish, and the kit matches the factory dash contour and color. If you want to everything required for install, you'll also need a MI02B wiring harness. The kit retails for $44.95.

Video: Radio Install in a 2004+ Premium Sound Toyota

If you have premium or JBL sound in your 2004+ Toyota, then you've probably been told replacing your radio is more expensive or complicated than a standard Toyota. And if you haven't, well, now you know. The amount of in-car gadgets controlled by computers increases every year, and now even your car stereo is part of the data network. The factory amplifier in new Toyota vehicles is actually turned on via a data signal rather than a standard 12-volt signal. Until recently there was no easy solution for adding a radio to the car other than bypassing the factory amp and rewiring the factory speakers directly to your new radio. Video: Scosche's FJ Cruiser Demo Car

Trever Kaplan from Scosche walks us through the Scosche FJ Cruiser Demo car at CES 2006. This FJ is decked out in EFX gear and features eight 12" woofers, twelve amplifiers, seven monitors (including a 32" monitor in the rear door!), twenty speakers, three batteries, and belts over 9000 watts of power. These guys never cease to amaze me.

New Scosche 2008+ Honda Accord Installation Kit

Continuing a tradition of bas-ass kits, Scosche just announced the release of a new kit for the 2008+ Honda Accord w/o dual-climate controls. The kit is available in two colors to maintain the factory appearance, Dark Gray (HA1707DGB) and Earth Taupe (HA1707ETB). The kit will accommodate a single ISO-DIN mount radio and poscket, or a double-DIN. The factory hazard button, A/C vents, and A/C module all transfer on to the kit. As can be expected, more complicated install kits are a bit more expensive - this one retails for $49.95 - but when it comes to top quality, fit and finish, sometimes the extra cash is more than worth it.

Scosche Releases New Toyota Highlander Dash Kit

Attention Toyota Highlander owners! Scosche is looking out for you! They just announced the availability of a new dash kit for the Highlander, and it's available in two factory-matched colors! Here's the details:

    "The TA2089B and TA2089BRB both accommodate an ISO DIN mount with pocket or ISO Double DIN mount. The complete installation kit uses the factory metal mounting brackets and includes an optional DIN pocket. Both kits match the factory contour and are available in either black (#TA2089B) or brown (#TA2089BRB) to match the factory color. This vehicle specific kit accommodates the specialized configuration of the Toyota Highlander: both the factory hazard button and the factory passenger airbag indicator are retained in the Scosche panel. "
