Well I guess it took a bit longer to get this gallery live than it does most of our other events... Why? Because I made it a point to shoot every car, truck, and 2-wheeled vehicle that crossed my path - almost 1500 pictures snapped under the blazing Austin sun. There were even a few hot motorcycles, ATVs, and a handful of lowrider bicycles adding a little flavor to the show. Can you find you ride?

Well, according to the weather report on my handy iPhone, Seattle has snow, sleet, and rain in the forecast for tomorrow and the entire weekend.... Good thing I'm heading to Daytona Florida tomorrow for Spring Break Nationals! That's right, more bad ass cars, bikinis, sun, and car stereos than you can shake a stick at! SBN is one of the largest and most anticipated car audio events of the year, and we'll be bringing you coverage of the event all weekend long. Keep checking back!

Last year at Spring Break Nationals the guys from T3 Audio represented in the SPL portions of the event with 2-Year World Champion Gorman Cassidy's Chevy Astro, Danny Britain's DB Monster orange Toyota Truck, David Mackey's Chevy Blazer, all placing first in their classes (Details in the press release after the break).
So the guys at T3 have made a name for the brand as one of the loudest woofers around, and nothing says loud like blowing a windshield clean out of your demo car! But apparently that's a normal thing for the T3 guys. Most hardcore competitors carry a spare woofer or cone-swap, but not many have to make sure to include a spare windshield or two in the tool box!
I spoke with T3's owner, Johnathan Demuth this morning and he gave me the low-down on what to expect at Spring Break Nationals this March. Check out the details and actual video of a T3 system obliterating their demo van's windshield at SBN last year.

Ah the good 'ol days... The days when cheater amps were popular in car audio competitions and competitors actually got cash prizes for competing in events. Those were days.... *sigh*.
Well good news folks! No, cheater amps are not making a comeback, but Rick Sellers was just over in the SoundDomain forums and posted info on the upcoming Deep South Nationals competition in conjunction with the South's premier car & truck show, Scrapin' the Coast, June 20-22, 2008 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Deep South is a Top 30 Money Round SQ event, meaning competitors will get cash prizes just like the good 'ol days. DSN will run alongside Scrapin's triple-point regional USACi sound-off.
Scrapin' was named Mini Truckin's car show of the year for 2007 and had a pretty amazing turnout: 2000 show entries! There's over $10,000 in cash and prizes at the Scrapin' show alone, not to mention some of the most amazing cars the South has to offer. SoundDomain will be there in full force covering the event. If you're going to be there make sure to post up your info in the Deep South/Scrapin' thread. We'll make sure to stop by and shoot your ride for the event coverage.
