Video: Russian JBL Demo Truck or Mobile Nuclear Reactor?

I don't know who produced this, or who to give credit to, but this Russian JBL show truck, the "Sound Cruiser", is insane. This might give the Power Acoustik truck we wrote about a run for its money!

After a little research, it looks like this truck debuted maybe sometime around late 2005/early 2006. The "Russian Sound Fleet" guys took an International hauler and loaded the back with one of the most insane JBL sound systems I've seen. The HUGE Crown/JBL amps mounted to the side panels are stunning, but the rotating subwoofer enclosure is downright evil looking! It looks like they've got some sort of nuclear reactor strapped to the back!

Power Acoustik Monster Truck with MONSTER Bass

Pics of this truck have been floating around the interweb for a little bit now, but if you haven't seen these.. DAMN. That's some serious sound! Somehow I have a feeling that this truck can be heard past the legal 75-foot zone established by most city ordinances. Not including the towers of sound, I count nine 15" (18"?) Mofo woofers, and eleven amps on the passenger side alone!

The truck is a Ural-375, a 4.5 ton 6x6 truck used by the Russians as a troop hauler, missile launcher, and supply carrier. It's pretty hefty, so I'd guess tugging around this load probably isn't a problem; however, I'd assume the charging system received some serious upgrades.

I've got the guys at Power Acoustik looking into this right now. Since it's not a US car, they don't have a lot of info on it. But as soon as get more deets, I'll fill you in! We've got a few more pics after the break!

JL Audio Announces Six New Subwoofer Systems

If you don't want to spent top dollar on a custom-built subwoofer box for your system, but you also don't want to settle for a generic pre-fab box that falls somewhere within the manufacturer's specs, then choosing a solution like JL's pre-built subwoofer systems is a pretty solid choice. JL tests and measures many different designs until the "perfect box" is discovered: maximum output, minimal distortion, maximum satisfaction. It really is amazing how much better the perfect design can sound.
Fit and finish on a JL box is pretty impressive too. They use premium carpet on all exposed surfaces, and all corners are rounded and edges lipped, which makes moving the box easier.The HO boxes include aluminum bars to protect the woofers (and look stylish doing it!).
