For a while, nobody was quite sure what was going on with Xtant, Mitek's luxury high-end brand. I've been an Xtant fan for years (I still have my old 3300C), and was worried they might just fade away. Not So! They're back and the new line is pretty sexy to say the least.
- Xtant's new amplifiers all share the same footprint and will be available in a mono, two-, and four-channel flavors. The fan-cooled amps feature removable wood panels that can be stained to whatever color tickles your fancy, all all controls and terminals are hidden for a clean install.
- The new component speaker line takes offers a unique twist as well: real wood cones! We've seen this idea from a few other manufacturers in home audio systems, but this is a first for car audio as far as I know. The crossovers are reminiscent of Xtant's old amp designs - chrome with copper screen-covered vents, and the tweeters are of the soft-dome variety.
- Four new subwoofers have also been added to the line-up. The woofers follow Xtants previous hexagon design, but also feature 100% real leather dustcaps that can also be dyed to match your interior or personal preference.

I don't know who produced this, or who to give credit to, but this Russian JBL show truck, the "Sound Cruiser", is insane. This might give the Power Acoustik truck we wrote about a run for its money!
After a little research, it looks like this truck debuted maybe sometime around late 2005/early 2006. The "Russian Sound Fleet" guys took an International hauler and loaded the back with one of the most insane JBL sound systems I've seen. The HUGE Crown/JBL amps mounted to the side panels are stunning, but the rotating subwoofer enclosure is downright evil looking! It looks like they've got some sort of nuclear reactor strapped to the back!
We've got a video of the truck in action after the break, as well as a bunch of photos I found on a forum from Croatia.
Anybody know anything about this truck? Let us know in the forums!

When I was checking out Vibe Audio's website yesterday for info on the new BlackDeath woofer, I stumbled on this crazy show display they've put together. MTX and a few other manufacturers have built demo trailers like this. Essentially it's a semi trailer that converted to a rolling show display, and the entrance is possibly the most impressive part!
The Bass Tunnel features 40 subwoofers, with a pair of woofers wired to a 1-ohm load and driven by a Vibe MonoBox IV subwoofer amplifier (there's a total of 20 just for the tunnel). The entire display features 103 speakers and 47 amplifiers... Damn. Click here to check out the animated wiring diagram.
