Journey MP3 Player Is Perry Cool

Journey MP3 Player

OK, so I admit it... When a Journey song comes on the radio, I know the words. I don't own any of their albums, I think I might have one of their songs in my music collection, but for some reason I know the words to most of the popular 80's hits. And if you don't, well, now you can!

This amazing mp3 player that comes preloaded with 22 songs from the Revelation album and is decorated in some really hot Journey art. You know you want it. This mp3 player features a massive 1GB of storage capacity, voice recorder, and a built-in speaker so you can rock out with your friends. Don't Stop Believin' folks, this this is for real. For a mere $40, this MP3 player can be Faithfully Yours.

Get Charged! Dual 12V & USB Car Adapter

USB 12-Volt power plug

Now this is a smart gadget that could come in handy for just about any car owner. Since I've owned a car, I've almost always had a dual 12volt power plug in my glovebox, but this takes it to the next level. With so many gadgets receiving their charge via a standard USB plug rather than some proprietary power plug, this adapter just makes sense. And since it comes in at a mere $16, why not?? The adapter can handle up to 20 amps, which shoudl be more than adequate for most devices, and can be mounted via Velcro or screws.

Video: Kid Rock-- "Steal Music, Steal Everything"

So I can honestly say that ever since the original Napster was shut down, I haven't used any service to download music other than iTunes. The spam, spyware, and reduced computer performance that were associated with peer-to-peer applications really didn't seem worth it, and I've never jumped on the torrent bandwagon. I honestly think 99 cents is worth it for good music. And regardless of what side of the music download fence you stand on, I think you'd have to agree that this video by Kid Rock is pretty damn funny. He, of course, is on the side of the fence that does not support illegal downloading. Thanks for the tip, Ben!

Pointelss Gadget of the Year Award: Sony Rolly

OK, this thing has been popping up on gadget blogs all over the web, and I really have no idea what the appeal is. All this thing does is "dance" to your MP3s. It flaps it's wings, it rolls around, it flashes lights, and it will only set you back $400!! Yeah.... $400 for something that essentially does nothing to enhance your listening experience. The Rolly has 2GB of memory built-in to play MP3s and also has Bluetooth to stream MP3s. But seriously, $400? Check out the video to see the "amazing" Rolly in action.

Free Stuff: New Music From Jensen

Jensen, Free MP3s, car audio, music, mobile electronics

Jensen has updated their site again and are offering a collection of new MP3s for your downloading pleasure. There are 15 new artists to sample, and I do have to compliment Jensen on their eclectic mix of cutting edge tracks. Blake9's "Always Something" is a cool hip-hop cut with decent bass beats and a good flow - more of an underground hip hop sound. If you like something a little more upbeat, the Cool Kids "Miami Beach" will probably be more your style. The backbeat reminded of old school 2 Live Crew - deep 808 bass beats and snares, but woudl sound pretty bad ass on some subs. JD73's instrumental track "Distorted Dreams" had a jazzy electronic sound that reminded me of jam band favorites Sound Tribe Sector 9 and Particle. The Toxic Avenger track "Escape" wasn't quite my style, more of a club anthem type sound with a slight breakbeat feel, but those into that sort of thing will probably enjoy it. The collection mainly consists of hip hop and electronics sounds, but metalheads will appreciate the fast pace and heavy sounds of Kingdom of Sorrow's "Led Into Demise". All-in-All, Jensen did a pretty good job pulling together some really good tracks among a broad selection of genres that shoudl offer a little something for everybody. Anything catch your ear? Feel free to comment!
