Journey MP3 Player Is Perry Cool

Journey MP3 Player

OK, so I admit it... When a Journey song comes on the radio, I know the words. I don't own any of their albums, I think I might have one of their songs in my music collection, but for some reason I know the words to most of the popular 80's hits. And if you don't, well, now you can!

This amazing mp3 player that comes preloaded with 22 songs from the Revelation album and is decorated in some really hot Journey art. You know you want it. This mp3 player features a massive 1GB of storage capacity, voice recorder, and a built-in speaker so you can rock out with your friends. Don't Stop Believin' folks, this this is for real. For a mere $40, this MP3 player can be Faithfully Yours.

Get Charged! Dual 12V & USB Car Adapter

USB 12-Volt power plug

Now this is a smart gadget that could come in handy for just about any car owner. Since I've owned a car, I've almost always had a dual 12volt power plug in my glovebox, but this takes it to the next level. With so many gadgets receiving their charge via a standard USB plug rather than some proprietary power plug, this adapter just makes sense. And since it comes in at a mere $16, why not?? The adapter can handle up to 20 amps, which shoudl be more than adequate for most devices, and can be mounted via Velcro or screws.

Where NOT to Mount a GPS Unit

By: Ben Vollmer, Car Audio Nationals

Portable GPS Units have been hot for a couple of years now. It seems like almost every car I pass on road trips now has one mounted to their car somewhere now. And my wife and I have spotted them mounted in all sorts of stupid locations. Most people usually mount them under the rear view mirror. As much as this position makes sense, I have seen some rather unique variations as well.

There was a Mercedes convertible where the owner mounted the GPS unit in the bottom side of the windshield (which makes making changes or accessing other features while driving difficult.)

This past weekend in Reading, PA, I saw a Toyota Camry Solara drive by that I just had to take a shot of. The driver had mounted the GPS unit on the driver's side window! It was about 8 inches back from the steering wheel and right where the driver has to look in his side mirror. Sorry for the lousy picture, it was snapped by my phone while the car was moving, (which almost always leads to lousy pictures).

What stupid location have you seen a portable GPS unit mounted?

Update: Clarion MiND Gets Colorful

Clarion MIND, M.I.N.D., GPS, Navigation, UMPC, Windows Mobile

The guys from PC World magazine attended the Computex show not too long ago and got to take a look at an updated Clarion MiND. The latest version looks quite different from the MiND. we got to check out at CES in January. The specs haven't changed much, except now there will be two MiNDs available, a basic model and then a Pro model.

Both models will offer 5.2-inch touchscreen, internet, instant messaging, GPS, YouTube and MySpace apps, a video and music player, and should be compatible with Office some products. The Pro version will add 3G highspeed wireless capability as well. The shape of the MiND has changed since January and multiple colors will be available and in the video after the jump, it also looked like some sort of multicolor print is going to be available too (?). The MiND run about $700 and will start shipping towards the end of the year.

I'll hold off on giving my "official" opinion until I get a hands-on with either the final product or the final prototype. Follow the jump for a few more pics and video.
