Scrapin' Stand-Out: Red's Miami's Limo High-Riser

So as expected, most of the cars at the show were laying frame or at the least, sitting lower on sport springs. So when I came across this high-riser limo, customized by Red's Miami, I was pretty floored. Jen and John actually saw this ride at SEMA last year, but I somehow missed it. But there was no missing it at Scrapin! It was quite possibly one of the tallest cars on the lot! Now, Donks may not be your thing, but c'mon, how much fun would it be to roll up to your prom or black tie formal in this??

The Fleetwood was completely overhauled inside and out. Red's installed a full MB Quart Premium audio system, with components throughout the rear cab and driver's doors in custom fiberglass pods, and two 12" Premium subs wrapped in color-matched glass in the trunk (along with the chromed-out airbag compressor tanks). The crew also flushed four Quart Premium amps into the floor of the VIP area - very trick, and a 32" LCD was molded into the wall of the VIP area to handle all the multimedia. Scrapin the Coast Gallery Live!

We posted up the Deep South Nationals coverage a few days ago, and now the almost 1000 photos from the host event, Scrapin', are live over at CarDomain! Th assortment of rides was pretty outstanding and I was definitely impressed. The show initially started out years ago as a lowrider show (which there was no shortage of!), but has quickly spread it breadth to include solid examples of just about every other genre of enthusiast custom. This matte black Magnum sported a 300 front end and sat low on a set of red candy classics. And I couldn't help but stare at this slammed Chevy 10-passenger van! And even two torrential downpours couldn't dampen the spirits of this show. Although, this guy was a little disappointed as it was the first time his Avalanche had ever seen the rain! Overall this was a fantastic show and definitely on my calendar for next year! Check out all the photos over in the CarDomain events section!

Deep South Nationals is Coming!

It's coming.... It's only 3 weeks away. Scrapin' the Coast, one of the largest car shows in the South this summer is hosting the Deep South Nationals car audio sound-off, and we're going to be there. Are you? With a prize pot worth well over $4000, we expect to see some hot cars competing to take home the top spots and top prizes.

Show Alert: Deep South Nationals & Scrapin' the Coast

Ah the good 'ol days... The days when cheater amps were popular in car audio competitions and competitors actually got cash prizes for competing in events. Those were days.... *sigh*.

Well good news folks! No, cheater amps are not making a comeback, but Rick Sellers was just over in the SoundDomain forums and posted info on the upcoming Deep South Nationals competition in conjunction with the South's premier car & truck show, Scrapin' the Coast, June 20-22, 2008 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Deep South is a Top 30 Money Round SQ event, meaning competitors will get cash prizes just like the good 'ol days. DSN will run alongside Scrapin's triple-point regional USACi sound-off.

Scrapin' was named Mini Truckin's car show of the year for 2007 and had a pretty amazing turnout: 2000 show entries! There's over $10,000 in cash and prizes at the Scrapin' show alone, not to mention some of the most amazing cars the South has to offer. SoundDomain will be there in full force covering the event. If you're going to be there make sure to post up your info in the Deep South/Scrapin' thread. We'll make sure to stop by and shoot your ride for the event coverage.
